«I'm sorry for Davide, but as a shipwreck I now find myself accused of culpable shipwreck».
These are the words of Giovannino Pinna , the 35-year-old underwater fisherman from Sassari, investigated by the Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office after the shipwreck on April 12 in which his cousin, Davide Calvia , 38, lost his life .
He will have to answer the investigators' questions and tell the owner of the investigation, Lara Senatore, the facts that really happened that afternoon when the SOS was launched, summarily indicating the sinking point of the boat, between Stintino and Porto Torres.
This is exactly where the obscure points still to be clarified begin. His lawyer, the lawyer Luca Barroccu, is waiting for the prosecutor to summon his client to explain the causes of the shipwreck surrounded by too many mysteries and inconsistencies.
A story that has put a strain on Davide's family, who ask for justice and want to know the dark sides of a story that has risen to the fore of the national clique.
And if Giovannino Pinna waits to finish the medical therapy, following the discovery in a state of hypothermia in the waters of the coast of Sorso, 27 hours after the shipwreck, Davide's family members ask that the truth come out.
"Because my brother didn't drown - says his sister Nadia Calvia - and the only witness who can tell us what happened, and who hurt Davide, is only Giovannino".
Another useful element for the investigation is represented by the result of the autopsy on the 38-year-old's body which will be filed in June: the card indicates the presence of "polytraumas".
