Two men aged 37 and 31 were arrested by the carabinieri of the Quartu mobile radio operations unit station for a theft in a frozen food production plant on provincial road 8.

The two apparently jumped the fence and unhinged the shutter of the room, then tearing several copper pipes from various systems: at that moment the police arrived and arrested them, also recovering the branch pipes set aside (about 200 kilos).

They were charged with aggravated theft. One of the two, the 37-year-old, was sentenced to 5 months after the plea agreement and was released from prison. The second, with no criminal record, will have to appear before the judge again in a future hearing after requesting probation which could cancel the crime. In the meantime he too has been released from prison.
