There is time until tomorrow to admire the latest Lego work created by the Sardinian Brick Builder Maurizio Lampis: a London telephone booth - life-size, built with 100 thousand bricks - exhibited exclusively in Selargius, in Piazza Si 'e Boi. Next to it is an illuminated street lamp - about 2 meters 20 high - also in English style. All created in four months "to celebrate the 100 years of English telephone booths, installed for the first time in 1924", recalls Lampis while proudly showing off his latest creation. "Although they are used less and less for making phone calls, they are often still in operation and in many cases protected as part of the national heritage. This is where my extravagant idea of building one in bricks started, which should also be the only one in the world, other than the one present at the Lego Store in London".
The work - exhibited since December 23 - will be open to visitors today and until 7 pm tomorrow in Piazza Si 'e Boi.
