The battle against the Tyrrhenian link in Selargius continues. This time with a "no" to the final project from the city council which arrived late at night yesterday, an opposition reiterated by all the opposition groups in the hall in Piazza Cellarium, together with two majority councillors: Alberto Cappai, Psd'Az and Marianna Mameli, Lega. Also present in the Council were the mayor Gigi Concu and the vice president of the civic assembly Chiara Contu, both of whom abstained.

In the agenda approved yesterday - with final applause from a representative of the city committee who has been trying to stop the project for months - in fact "opposition to the intervention in the Selargius area" is reiterated, where Terna intends to build two electricity stations , one for conversion and one for sorting. The mayor and council are also committed "to urgently evaluate the opportunity to propose an extraordinary appeal to the President of the Republic challenging the approval of the definitive project".

In the document, the mayor and the council also undertake to "urgently entrust a detailed specialist assignment to an archaeologist, in support of the technical opinion issued by the Ministry of Culture on 5/8/2022, regarding the project, thus complying with the request for a preventive verification of the archaeological evidence of the entire area affected by the intervention equal to 17 hectares in the Selargius territory".
