Sedilo, on October 7th a meeting on the "rules" for historic horse racing

The request from the organizers of historical events to discuss and write together the "rules" for carrying out the races will start from Sedilo . In fact, the deadline for the Prime Ministerial Decree Martini is rapidly approaching, which will supervise the holding of horse racing events until January 1st . The aim is to bring some proposals to the ministerial table to be included in the discussion scheduled for 12 October in Rome . From the leaked news, it would appear that the next decree could be even more restrictive than the one in force, creating quite a few concerns.

«On the occasion of the "Zenias de Atonzu" event scheduled for 7-8 October - anticipates the mayor Salvatore Pes - the Palio del Guilcier will be run and representatives of the Palio di Fucecchio, of other historical events of the peninsula and Sardinia will arrive in Sedilo, the officials of the ministry . With them we will analyze this important issue, which in Sardinia concerns many events on horseback but also with donkeys. We have involved the Region as the highest institutional entity, which certainly has an important weight in relations with the government".

The agreement came from the Presidency of the Council which was transformed into an invitation addressed to all the subjects forming part of the Foundation for historic horse racing in Italy and to all the mayors of Sardinia, to participate in the conference "Different in traditions, united in the rules ”. The appointment is in Sedilo on Saturday 7 October at 10.30am in the Sa Prima Ighina premises .

The same invitation also goes to the management of the animal welfare, zootechnical and urban veterinary hygiene office of the Ministry of Health . «This initiative - highlights Mayor Pes - allows us to continue the work started in Fucecchio last March, when the foundations were laid for the soon-to-be-established "Foundation of Historic Races", an organization called to protect historic equestrian events. The representatives of the events signed the specifications which constituted the start of the process of creating the important protection instrument".
