Weeds threaten the cathedral of San Nicola in Sassari .

This morning the firefighters of the provincial command intervened to secure the church, removing all the shrubs that would have compromised the facade , particularly affecting the stability and tightness of the precious decorations and external works that enrich the monument.

The team worked with a ladder truck, a delicate operation followed by a verification activity that occupied the red helmets for a few hours.

A local police patrol was also on site to ensure road safety.
