Sassari, sexual assault in a shop: two years and eight months requested for a 71-year-old

2 years and 8 months. This is the sentence requested this morning in court in Sassari by prosecutor Maria Paola Asara against a 71-year-old from the hinterland accused of sexual violence. According to the charges, the man, two years ago, groped the breasts and bottom of a fellow villager in a commercial establishment, hugging her from behind, and moreover carrying out the action in front of the woman's minor son and the owner of the business.

The latter then proceeded to report the elderly man and we arrived at today's proceedings, in an abbreviated session, before the preliminary hearing judge Gian Paolo Piana.

The civil party's lawyer, Gianluca Nonnis, agreed with the request made by the public prosecutor, which also includes a measure for social dangerousness, asking for compensation while the man's legal defense, Anna Maria Santoru, maintained her client's innocence. The judge adjourned the case until July for replies and sentencing.
