Motorists whose foot is too "heavy" on the accelerator are targeted by the Traffic Police.

The new barrage of checks concerned the state roads 291 Sassari/Alghero, 729 Sassari/Olbia and 131 Carlo Felice , where speed cameras were set up to identify undisciplined motorists who usually mistake the provincial roads for Formula One tracks.

And in just a few days , 12 driving licenses were withdrawn by the Sassari Traffic Police, with suspension periods of up to 12 months.

Sanctions also apply to the drivers of two cars in particular, which were immortalized by the Telelaser Trucam in Sassari-Olbia, while they were speeding at 192 and 181 km per hour respectively.
