The traffic system in Sassari is changing in view of the inauguration of the 2024-25 academic year . The ceremony will be held on March 18 , with the presence of the Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci, and for safety reasons the university has asked for parking restrictions.

In synergy with the police headquarters , the Municipality has prepared a plan that will try to reduce the inconvenience for residents . From 8:00 pm on Monday 17 March to 3:00 pm on Tuesday 18 March, parking is prohibited in Largo Porta Nuova, in the area adjacent to the University building (from Corso Margherita di Savoia to Piazza Università), in the parking spaces along the right side (entering from Largo Porta Nuova) of Piazza Università and in the first row of the central paid parking spaces, right side, in front of the University building.

It will be possible to park in the other spaces in the square and in Largo Porta Nuova.

Access to Piazza Università will be permitted to local traffic and authorized vehicles and will be coordinated by the Local Police based on security needs.
