The Teatro Civico of Sassari reopens after 5 years, for the Epiphany. And it will be the concert of the Orchestra Jazz della Sardegna that will “rename” the structure, with a concert scheduled for 8 pm on January 6 that will also see the singer Denise Gueye, the singer Giuliano Rassu and the students of the “Luigi Canepa” Conservatory of Music of Sassari perform on stage. A free event for which it will be necessary to book until all available seats are sold out.

"We allow art and culture to reclaim their spaces," says Mayor Giuseppe Mascia. The theater had been closed to allow it to be brought up to standard with the renovation of the fire prevention system and the verification of the structural conditions. Various interventions on the structure promoted by the previous administration, including the stage structures.

"The Public Works sector," declares the competent councilor Salvatore Sanna, "is committed to completing numerous works that have been waiting to be completed for a long time." The next step will be to decide which formula to use to manage the Theater, which has returned to the guidance of the Municipality .

"In the face of great signs of vitality," emphasizes Councilor for Culture Nicoletta Puggioni, "that come from the many entities that operate in the world of art and culture, we respond concretely, giving them back the opportunity to enjoy those spaces that are sorely needed, such as our Civic Theater ."
