"An unsustainable condition" . It is that of the employees of the Jesus Nazareno institute in Sassari , the rehabilitation facility that houses over 100 patients suffering from mental and motor impairments. It is the trade unions CGIL, CISL and UIL, authors of a joint statement today, who underline how the workers of Gena, «in addition to not receiving a salary, find themselves accumulating credits whose values have reached an average of 5/6 thousand euros per employee" .
This is due to a difficult management situation also due to «the values of the tariffs which are completely incompatible with the management costs». Fixed quotas since 2011 while, in the meantime, expenses have increased by 20 percent between personnel and general costs . And the intervention of the Region, dating back to the end of January, "which substantially redefines the values of the tariffs on rehabilitation", writes the triad, "in our opinion is not sufficient to face the crisis in the sector".
The result, with "delays in salary payments and failure to comply with the contract, could lead to managerial collapse , the consequences of which will be irreparable for the guarantee and continuity of the service, which is moreover unique in our territory". For this reason, the trade associations will continue to appeal to the regional councilor for health, "not excluding mobilization and protest initiatives in support and vindication of the rights of male and female workers and above all of the assisted persons".
