A new construction site in Sassari to improve the city's water networks. The work started by Abbanoa involves the complete replacement of seven kilometers of pipes. All of this is part of the contract for " Interventions aimed at reducing water losses and districting networks in 15 municipalities in Sardinia " which overall sees an investment of 42 million euros obtained by Abbanoa through the PNRR funds of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Sassari is among the centers to which a significant portion of this investment is reserved: over 6.6 million euros.
The following streets are affected: Binna, Satta Branca, Roth, Guarino, Riccio, Gramsci, Tavolara, Deffenu, IV novembre, Turati, Matteotti, Principe di Piemonte, Principessa Maria, Monte Grappa, Cordedda, Principessa Mafalda, Einaudi, Copenhagen, Lu Regnu, De Martini, Lenci, Bruno, Era, Spanu Satta, Cordella, Tirso, Lago di Baratz Pigafetta, Cadamosto, Amundsen, Gorizia, Savoia, Luna e Sole, Vittorio Veneto, Binna, Biasi, viale Trento, viale Mameli, viale Caprera, piazza Santa Maria and piazza D'Armi. All the interventions aim to requalify the water network to be carried out through a series of interventions to replace or decommission pipes based on the criticality index or pipes of insufficient diameter or inadequate material. "The goal is a greater rationalization of the functioning of the entire water system serving the city with a reduction in dispersion," the manager says.
On Tuesday 19 November 2024, the new water networks just built in via Tirso will be connected. Between 8:30 and 18:30, to carry out the operations, temporary interruptions and drops in pressure will occur limited to via Tirso, Vivaldi, Lago di Baratz and Coghinas.
