The investigation into the attempted murder last summer in via Duca degli Abruzzi in Sassari has been completed. Maria Paola Asara is the prosecutor of the prosecutor's office investigating the incident, which occurred on July 19, 2024, with four people involved, all from Sassari.

According to the findings of the Carabinieri, the brothers Alessio and Stefano Levanti, aged 44 and 38, and the forty-two-year-old Luca Silanus, had reached a fourth person, Ugo Poggi, aged 62, who was in the “Duca Bar” to carry out a sort of punitive expedition. The hypothesis is that one of the three struck a blow to the back of Poggi’s head with a hammer, or another blunt object that has not yet been found . The consequences of the impact were serious, with injuries such as a brain trauma, a hemorrhage and a skull fracture for which the injured party is still undergoing treatment.

After the assault, the three disappeared and what happened was reconstructed by the military until the arrest of the alleged attackers , also accused of carrying a weapon capable of causing harm. The three are defended, as far as the Levantis are concerned, by the lawyers Paolo Spano and Marco Palmieri, while Silanus is assisted by the lawyer Lorenzo Galisai.

The fourth person under investigation, defended by the lawyer Maria Assunta Argiolas, is the same victim on whom the hypothesis of the crime of threats hangs because, after the attack, she allegedly addressed a series of intimidating phrases towards the trio.
