A significant figure, the result of the great promotional activity carried out thanks to the European project “Agnello di Sardegna PGI: buono, sano e garanzia”, co-financed within the agri-food program “Enjoy, It's from Europe”, which has allowed the Consortium for the Protection of Agnello Di Sardegna PGI to achieve, in addition to this, other important results. A winning strategy.

The actions implemented, in fact, have brought added value to the Sardinian sheep sector, to the brand and to the awareness among consumers of the importance of purchasing certified quality products. The data confirms this.

Between 2022 and 2025, sales increased by an average of 27% in the northern and southern regions of Italy where the campaign was directed, reflecting the growing success of the product, which continues to stand out thanks to an average price 25% higher than national lamb on the price at origin. The Consortium has strengthened its promotion on social media, recording impressive numbers: on Facebook, over one and a half million users reached and 15 thousand interactions; on Instagram, a coverage of 400 thousand users with a 100% growth in clicks on links. The official website has seen 50 thousand views (+200% compared to 2023) and 15 thousand new users (+120%), becoming a point of reference for consumers and operators in the sector.

"We are proud of the results achieved," says Contas director Alessandro Mazzette, "the structured promotional plans, including social media, have proven to be fundamental in reaching different targets, especially young people."
