Health vouchers for people in financial difficulty.
The measure was introduced today by the Sardinian Regional Council, on the proposal of Councilor Desirè Manca in agreement with Councilor Bartolazzi.
The measure aims to combat the phenomenon of so-called health poverty, which translates into the renunciation of care linked both to excessively long waiting times and to the high costs of services.
In this experimental phase, the measure is intended for people belonging to families with an ISEE of no more than 10 thousand euros.
"This measure - specifies the Region - must necessarily be reconciled with the rules on income exemptions, provided for at a national level. In fact, health vouchers are intended for indigent patients who, because the waiting times are not consistent with the timing provided for in the doctor's prescription, are unable to benefit from the service and, due to the state of difficulty in which they find themselves, are unable to obtain the service by paying the ticket or, in the most extreme cases, by paying for it".
If the user receives the ASL reimbursement, in essence, he cannot access the health vouchers. And vice versa, in the case in which he accesses the health vouchers, he cannot enjoy the ASL reimbursement.
