The simulacrum of Sant'Efisio, on his pilgrimage which began from Cagliari on 1 May, reached Nora yesterday, welcomed by a crowd of faithful.

This morning the solemn mass was celebrated in the presence of the bishop of Cagliari Giuseppe Baturi.

Tomorrow, Saturday, however, the cart with the statue of the martyr will return home. At 7.30, from the parish church of San Giovanni Battista in Pula, the journey towards Villa San Pietro, Sarroch, Villa d'Orri, Su Loi, Maddalena Spiaggia will begin.

In Giorgino, in the villa owned by the Ballero family, the change of the Saint's chariot and clothes. At dusk the journey towards the capital will resume, with the arrival in the city expected during the night.

Once in Cagliari, the simulacrum, accompanied by groups wearing traditional clothes, knights, militiamen, the archconfraternity of Gonfalone and the alter nos Giovanni Ena, will return to be kept in the small church of Stampace.
