The Fire Brigade of the Cagliari Command intervened in the Monte Liuru area of San Vito to rescue two hikers.
One of the two, a 72-year-old man from Calangianus, felt unwell; the other hiker, the man's niece, alerted the NUE to activate the rescue.
The operators, locating them through the GPS coordinates of the smartphone, sent the team from the San Vito detachment and the SAF (Speleo Alpino Fluviale) team from the Cagliari headquarters.
