After the attacks on security vans in Ogliastra and Siligo , a Task Force has been set up in Nuoro to guarantee the safety of motorists and security institute operators which should make it increasingly difficult for gangs of robbers to carry out heists like those of the last months.

The proposal, which arrived last February 8 with the establishment of a technical table by the prefect of Nuoro Giancarlo Dionisi, saw a new meeting today in the Government Palace on the topic of security of the armored vehicle service. On an experimental basis for a month, the Task Force led by the Police Commissioner of Nuoro, Alfonso Polverino, will develop the operational procedures agreed within the technical table meeting at the Police Headquarters. Present at the meeting were the provincial leaders of the police forces, the territorial manager of Anas Sardinia and the presidents of the supervisory institutes “La Nuorese”, “V2 Mondialpol”, “Vigilpol” and “Gruppo Battistolli”, and the territorial secretaries of CGIL , CISL and UIL.

Among the operational procedures decided are that of greater direct communication between all the subjects involved in the transport of valuables and a strengthening of technology, which will guarantee greater protection for operators and road users involved in criminal scenarios. The province of Nuoro will represent the testing ground for the prevention and contrast measures developed by the Task Force: the aim is to test the effectiveness of the actions, evaluate corrective measures and sign an operational agreement on a regional basis involving the other prefectures.
