After the robbery at the Diametro 30 pizzeria a few weeks ago, thieves are back on the scene on Via Cagliari in Quartu. This time, the thieves' target is the El Freko bar, on the corner of Via D'Annunzio, one of the area's most popular bars.

After forcing the shutter with a crowbar, the thieves entered the premises and stole the cash register containing €550. They didn't touch anything else: not the TV, bottles, or any other merchandise, and then calmly left.

An employee who arrived at 4 a.m. this morning to open the restaurant noticed what had happened and immediately alerted owner Salvatore Platone, who said : "Unfortunately, unpleasant things are happening on this street, first the pizzeria and now us. This morning I immediately went to file a report with the police."

He also brought along footage from the restaurant's security cameras, which showed two men sitting in the entrance. They were wearing hooded sweatshirts, making them unidentifiable. The cash register had also been stolen from the Diametro 30 pizzeria. Investigations will now determine whether the two thefts are connected.
