Quartu dresses in flowers: the competition awards ceremony is on Saturday.

It's spring and Quartu is dressed in flowers.

Residents, associations, and shopkeepers decorated their homes, balconies, and businesses to compete for the top spot in the "Quartu citta fiorita" competition, promoted by Pro Loco together with the Sette note e più cultural and recreational association, the Foris de Beranu group, Cittadinanza Attiva Oikos, and the Municipality.

The goal is to promote urban decor by decorating balconies, streets, and homes with flowers and plants. Next Saturday, April 25th, at 10:00 a.m., Sa dom' e Farra will host an awards ceremony for the best displays. The competition was open not only to private individuals but also to associations, shops, and so on. On this occasion, the former Ethnographic Museum on Via Porcu will also host the 11th edition of Plant Swap.

A traveling initiative to exchange plants, cuttings, seeds, bulbs, and accessories, to meet periodically , to exchange helpful tips and growing experiences, and to meet new plant enthusiasts. Bulbs and seeds must be placed in a paper bag/container labeled with your name. Broken or dirty pots will not be accepted. Plant Swap is open to everyone, even those with nothing to exchange. You can take as many plants as you like and take cuttings for the next Plant Swap.
