Yet another accident at Margine Rosso, on the Quartu coast. In the evening a motorist lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the railing overlooking the beach.

There were no serious consequences for the occupants but the barrier was completely destroyed.

Local police officers intervened on site and subjected the driver to an alcohol test. It seems that initial tests revealed that his blood alcohol level was over the limit.

The same officers tried to make the parapet safe, also surrounding it with red and white ribbons but the situation, until the barrier is replaced, remains very dangerous.

The alarm was also raised by the president of the Red Margin Committee Emanuele Contu: «Unfortunately the railing is very unsafe», he says, «the police tried to make it safe and recommended maximum caution. I suppose that now, inevitably, it will have to be replaced urgently. It's really dangerous now."

Not even the awareness walk organized a few weeks ago by the same committee was of any use. At the Margine Rosso we continue to run, and the straight where the railing is is one of the most dangerous on the stretch under the jurisdiction of the Municipality.
