Time is running out , the signatures will be delivered at the latest in the first days of October. The mayor of Orgosolo, Pasquale Mereu , invites the committees and the public to make one last effort : «Let's sign while we can, even if the deadline for the collection is set for September 16 », he says. «The delivery will take place after each individual signature has been traced back to the subscriber's electoral registration number, a lengthy operation especially in the larger municipalities».

There is a deadline: «The end of September and the beginning of October», continues Mereu. «We need to understand if, at the same time, there will be a demonstration in the square, or if the delivery will be more sober. In any case, the projections in our possession indicate that Pratobello 24 has exceeded one hundred thousand signatures : a figure that should make all of Sardinian politics reflect ». The idea of the committees would be to accompany the delivery of the signatures with a big party : «A flash mob», says Luigi Pisci, of the Sarcidano committee , «around the Regional Council Building, to remember the meaning that Pratobello has».

Meanwhile, a new initiative by the committees for Pratobello 24 has been recorded. With a letter, they ask the 377 mayors to decide that in Sardinia there are no areas suitable for hosting wind turbines and photovoltaic systems. In short, it is a sort of response to the initiative of the Region, which «asks the representatives of the territories to define, by September 12 and through a questionnaire, the “suitable areas” for the installation of renewable energy systems».
