Investigations by the local police of Porto Torres into the act of vandalism committed against the poles of road signs , uprooted in some parts of the city. The episode was also reported to the carabinieri of the local company who proceeded to send the crime notification communication to the Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office. In the night between Saturday and Sunday, a band of thugs went on the rampage by targeting at least five poles positioned in via Pascoli , on the corner with via delle Vigne and in the stretch of road between via Ettore Sacchi and via Balai , areas located a short distance from the urban centre. Some supports were uprooted or bent, others knocked down with damage to the pavement of the sidewalks.

The alarm was raised yesterday morning by the residents, but the album of misdeeds and acts of vandalism is enriched by uncivilized behavior that shows no sign of stopping and affects, without distinction, every asset of the community.

In these hours the in-house Multiservice workers are intervening to restore the damage and reposition new signs. "It is the third time that we have intervened to replace the damaged poles , - observes Massimiliano Ledda , councilor for the environment - an act committed by those who do not realize that, in addition to endangering safety, they damage a public good with costs burden of the municipal coffers and, therefore, of the citizens".

The photographic dossier is in the hands of the municipal police who will sift through the images of the surveillance cameras present to try to identify those responsible.
