It was a meeting point for many customers, a place crossed by generations, by laughter and discussions, an open house for those who passed through only once and for those who stayed a lifetime, a piece of Porto Torres for over 40 years.

The historic Punto Verde bar is closing its doors, leaving a silent, deserted atmosphere in the commercial port area, just outside the city, where the venue was a landmark for many patrons. A difficult legal case, which ended in court, has left the staff unemployed. Two employees and three external workers thank those who chose them every day, those who supported them until the very end.

On January 27th, the bailiff, accompanied by State Police officers, notified the owner of the seizure, a forced expropriation that prevents the holder of the state concession from disposing of the property. These are stories that have different times and spaces, stories that are difficult to tell. What remains is the bitterness of those who have dedicated time and passion to an activity conceived as part of their existence.

The disappointment is evident in the eyes of the staff, Alessandro Griecco and Daniela Solinas, the two young employees who, along with the rest of the staff—young people between 18 and 20 years old—showed responsibility, ensuring work and a constant presence. The banner outside the building reads, "Five employees are home. Thank you to all the customers." They are bitter for the owner who has lost his business, and desperate for the unemployment they have suddenly found themselves in.

"Our regret is that we lost our jobs one day ago, a business we held so dear thanks to the passion and commitment we invested over the years with a person who loved us so much," they say. "Our goal is to join forces to open our own place together, " they explain, "leaving these problems behind us and using our experiences to build something new. We hold no grudges against anyone, but we want to say that there are young people who want to work." The staff has received support from the restaurant's customers, who are willing to set up a fund for the reopening.
