The vessel spotted yesterday afternoon, Saturday 23 November , off the Asi pier, the industrial port of Porto Torres , was wandering in the middle of the sea . There was no one on board the small gozzo, dragged adrift by the currents .

A hull noticed by operators working on the coast who, worried, reported the danger that a boat could pose for navigation and to avoid any type of pollution or damage. After contacting the number 1530 for emergencies at sea, the military of the Porto Torres Coast Guard arrived on site, who found that there was not a living soul on board. They then hooked up the boat and towed it to the dock of the Port Authority. Here further checks were carried out to identify the owner.

The vessel was in terrible condition and was already taking on water . It may have broken loose from its moorings due to the strong wind, but the owner, according to the navigation code, risks a fine for imprudence in anchoring the boat and for having left it unattended anyway.
