Marcello Capita, the 63-year-old man who was rescued in Porto Torres on the evening of last Tuesday, February 13, after his family found him unconscious on the floor in his home in via Pacinotti, died of natural causes.

This was revealed by the autopsy carried out by the medical examiner who confirmed that the 63-year-old died of cerebral ischemia. Immediately rescued by the 118 ambulance, he died a few minutes later at the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari.

What had made the carabinieri of the provincial command of Sassari suspicious, who intervened in the house together with their colleagues from Porto Torres, was the situation of the apartment found upside down. But an initial examination revealed that it was the 63-year-old who created the disorder when he felt ill. This morning the last farewell to Marcello Capita, known to all for his good and kind soul, at 11 am at the basilica of San Gavino.
