An unexpected visit to the Romanesque church was decided by the famous television presenter, known to the general public as a presenter of travel programmes, including "At the foot of Kilimanjaro" and for her scientific dissemination activity.
On the occasion of Romanesque Day, she was welcomed by the operators of the Turris Bisleonis cooperative which has been offering reception and tourist guide services in the thousand-year-old basilica for over twenty years.
Licia Colò, after having visited the upper part of the monument, without even neglecting the interesting seventeenth-century crypt, stopped in the lower part of the church with some tourists and the guides themselves, showing her appreciation for the magnificent Romanesque jewel, unique in Sardinia for its his greatness.
The temple is an important place of worship linked to the veneration of the relics of the Martyrs Turritani, Gavino, Proto and Gianuario, depicted by wooden statues in a lying position on a catafalque, in the apse to the north east of the basilica.
