Porto Torres, attacked two girls in the park: abbreviated for the accused
The man was stopped by the police after threatening and attacking two girls to get their cell phones delivered: one of the two had to seek medical attention
He was arrested on September 5th by the Porto Torres police on charges of robbery and aggravated assault for the theft of two cell phones from two minors. Francesco Giordo, 41 years old from Porto Torres , with several police records, will face the trial with an abbreviated trial .
The man had threatened and attacked two 13-year-old girls while they were sitting on a bench in San Gavino park, eating a sandwich. The episode occurred around 1pm on 5 September, when the 41-year-old surprised them from behind and, by pressing a health card on the neck of one of the two girls, forced her to have her mobile phone handed over, after having jerked her and threatened to death. The friend, scared, had also handed over her mobile phone.
After the complaint from his family, the man was stopped by a police patrol in via Sassari, near the I Granai supermarket while he was waiting to board the bus.
The girl had sought medical attention for some abrasions on her neck.
The hearing for the discussion of the summary procedure is set for next October.
