Porto Torres, a toxic waste bomb exploded under the portico of the building on Via Loi: "A danger to residents' health."

This is not only a violation of environmental regulations, but also of the rules of civilized living and decorum. Under the porticoes, at the entrance to the condominium on Via Emanuela Loi, one of the buildings in Porto Torres owned by Area, a swathe of waste of all sorts is causing problems for residents, an ecological bomb that endangers the health of the residents themselves, alarmed by the serious environmental emergency. Adding to the filth is the nauseating odor that permeates the air. This unbearable situation has been endured for months by the building's residents, with no way for Sangalli srl, the company responsible for urban sanitation, to intervene, as it is privately owned.

The report to the council chamber was made by Ico Bruzzi, a city councilor for Central Sardinia. "I'm asking the relevant councilor if it's possible to contact the Regional Housing Agency, which owns the property, to verify the current state of the area," he explained, "so we can intervene to clean up the area, which has become a health hazard for children and the elderly ."

Mayor Massimo Mulas guaranteed the intervention, following a request from Area, "through an ordinance in which the owner company will be asked to restore the portico as soon as possible ."
