"They stole my fanny pack." But it was all false.

A 26-year-old from Elmas was reported by the Carabinieri of Pirri, in Cagliari, for simulating a crime.

On March 12, the boy, a delivery boy with precedents, had requested the intervention of the military because - according to him - he had suffered a robbery by two foreign citizens in via Riva di Villasanta.

The carabinieri immediately set to work, viewing the images of the surveillance cameras of a room in the area. But they had captured absolutely nothing.

The young man had to admit that he had made it all up: he had lost the fanny pack. The problem was that it contained the proceeds that he was supposed to deliver to the owner of the pizzeria he works for. It seemed to him, that of the robbery, the perfect lie to free himself from all responsibility.

Further investigations then made it possible to ascertain that his driving license had also been revoked. So for him also an administrative fine.
