The sum put in place by Egas for the adaptation and extraordinary maintenance works of the Pattada water purification plant which serves the territories of Logudoro and Alta Gallura amounts to one million and 650 thousand euros.

The intent is to adapt the system and qualitatively improve the service provided. «The water purification plant - Egas says - has been in operation since 1995 and is substantially in good condition but requires technological adaptation interventions for optimal functioning. The replacement of the manifold that connects the flocculator clarifiers to the sand filters has become the most urgent intervention as the current situation, with the partial occlusion of the existing pipes in operation, does not allow use at the maximum flow rate of 341 liters per second, at compared to the current 225/250 liters per second".

With the available resources it will also be possible to carry out extraordinary maintenance of the clarifiers.

For the President of Egas Fabio Albieri it is «a plant of extreme importance for the centers of Logudoro and Alta Gallura which will be able to offer a service that responds to the needs of a very large and important territory in northern Sardinia».
