Pattada, falls from horse during parade: head trauma for a 16-year-old

Serious accident during the celebrations for San Salvatore, in the square of Pattada, in the province of Sassari.

A 16-year-old girl fell from her horse, near the Church of the Rosary, while she was taking part in a parade. It happened around midday in the town square. The young girl was riding her horse, when the annoyed animal went wild and knocked her to the ground.

The 16-year-old was immediately rescued by 118 health workers and transported by helicopter to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari. She suffered a head injury in the fall. She was conscious upon arrival at the hospital.

In Pattada the mayor cancelled the knights' parade and the procession.
