The third national residential seminar "In the places of History" will start on Friday 20 October, at 8.30, in the large Serbariu Mine, in Carbonia . This is a project of the “Ferruccio Parri” Institute. The 2023 edition is organized by Issasco. “In the places of History” this year is dedicated to the places of work in Sardinia .

The seminar, accompanied by a series of guided visits to museums and mining archeology sites, focuses on contemporary themes : from the history of the Sulcis-Iglesiente mines to the Sardinian model of industrialization, from the exploitation of those confined in penal colonies to that of prisoners in the concentration camps, from migrations to the biographies of some witnesses and protagonists of industrial development, society and trade union struggles.

Historians and scholars from different disciplines will participate. In order of intervention, the following will participate: Paolo Pezzino, Francesco Soddu, Francesca Mazzuzi, Walter Falgio, Daniele Sanna, Gianmario Leoni, Maria Giovanna Musa, Sara Zanisi, Sandro Ruju, Valeria Deplano, Costantino Di Sante, Stefano Tedde, Filippo Focardi, Laura Stochino , Marina Moncelsi, Carlo Di Bella, Silvia Aru, Francesco Bachis, Lillino Pisci, Paolo Serra, Antonello Zanda. The conference ends on 22 October in Cagliari in the Manifattura spaces.
