On the podium of the Palio Remiero, a challenge between rowing boats that, in the suggestive Old Port of Genoa, on November 16th, pitted 26 of the Nautical Institutes and the Higher Technical Institutes Academy of Italy against each other and saw the participation of 350 athletes.

It was a great success for the group of 12 students from the second and third classes of the Nautical Institute “M. Paglietti” of Porto Torres, accompanied by the teachers of Physical Activities and Electrical Engineering Laboratory, Brigida Amoroso and Angelo Manunta, all protagonists of the event, one of the most prestigious competitions in the national nautical panorama.

Three categories in the race - women, men and mixed - which showed off the rowing skills of the boys, with crews composed of 4 rowers and a coxswain. Second place for the women's team formed by Tatiana Zizi, Martina Mura, Alexandra Occulto, Giulia Collu, Alice Oneddu and Lucia Arus, while the men's and mixed teams both ranked fourth.

The young athletes of the Nautical Institute have shown great skill and determination, overcoming a series of demanding challenges and confirming themselves among the best in the category. Fourth place for the male and mixed teams. The school director, Daniele Taras, is satisfied: «The boys have shown great team spirit and commitment, obtaining a result that underlines the excellence of the preparation and the quality of the training offered by the school». A training that took place in the waters in front of Scogliolungo and in Stintino by the teacher Pier Paolo Peddio.
