Yet another road accident this morning in Oristano . In via Cagliari a woman was run over by a car while crossing the pedestrian crossing and was immediately transferred in red code to the San Martino hospital.

The accident occurred around 11, at the height of the elevated parking lot near the Saia buildings. According to what was ascertained by local police officers, the motorist (a pensioner) was headed towards Piazza Manno with his Citroen Saxò, then the very violent impact: the woman flew a few meters and hit her head on the ground .

Rescue was immediate, the seventy-year-old was transferred to the emergency room by 118 staff, with a red code for head trauma and various injuries . The local police also intervened on the spot and closed the lane towards Piazza Manno to allow rescue and relief from the accident.
