A greener, safer city, ready to face the environmental challenges of the coming years. This is the goal of the city administration, which will present its new integrated territorial strategy on Tuesday, October 7th, starting at 4:00 PM, at a public meeting scheduled at the Hospitalis Sancti Antoni.
The event will not be a simple technical presentation, but a genuine opportunity for participation: guidelines, ideas, solutions, and, above all, a listening ear to the community. The Municipality intends to use this opportunity to establish a stable local partnership that will closely monitor the projects, monitor their progress, and help shape their implementation.
"Citizen participation will be the true strength of this process," Mayor Massimiliano Sanna emphasizes. "The meeting on October 7th is not just a presentation, but the launch of a collective effort: together we want to build a more resilient, sustainable city, ready to face the future."
A challenge that starts with concrete data: as the Regional Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change points out, Sardinia is already among the areas most exposed to extreme events—from heat waves to floods. For this reason, the Municipality is focusing on green and blue infrastructure, urban regeneration, and nature-based solutions.
"We chose to put the community at the center because climate change affects everyone," adds Environment Councilor Maria Bonaria Zedda. "Without the active collaboration of citizens, associations, schools, and businesses, we will not be able to achieve the goals we have set. Oristano's future is built together."
