Two injured in as many hunting accidents that took place in the Nuoro area and in Gallura on Sunday morning. They are two 73 year olds.

The first alarm went off around 9.30 in Dorgali , above the tunnel that leads from the town to the hamlet of Cala Gonone. Here a hunter was injured by a splinter "ricocheted" from a rock which hit him in the chest, fortunately only superficially. The 118 operators intervened urgently on the spot, who took the elderly man to the San Francesco di Nuoro hospital.

The second incident in the countryside between Olbia and Telti , around noon: the hunter in this case was fired from his rifle which hit him in the foot.

The elderly man was then transported from 118 to the Giovanni Paolo II hospital in Olbia for treatment of the case.

The police are investigating the two incidents.
