From Basaglia's writings to Camilleri's postcards to Galateo, the Simpliciana Civic Library in Olbia is reviewing its bibliographic holdings and eliminating approximately four thousand books. Following a thorough review of its collections, the library in the Gallura capital has compiled a list of works no longer suitable for public reading. Obsolete and deteriorated volumes, yellowed, muddled, and underlined pages, and countless copies never issued for loan, such as Eulalia de Vega's "Woman in History," or those that haven't crossed the library's threshold in thirty years, such as "Reich Speaks of Freud" or Mario Deaglio's "The New Bourgeoisie and the Challenge of Capitalism," will be decommissioned and donated free of charge to other libraries in Sardinia interested in expanding their catalogs.

After the selection, the remaining books will be available for purchase by schools in the municipality, forty publications each, followed by city associations, twenty publications each, and finally made available to anyone interested in expanding their library. Olbia's municipal library has 57,000 paper volumes and a digital newsstand from around the world.
