Eleven years after the events , the trial into the death of pensioner Michelina Ena has concluded with requests from prosecutors and civil parties. The 83-year-old woman died in the Burns Unit of Sassari Hospital, twenty days after the explosion that gutted her home on Via Brunelleschi, Olbia . According to consultants for the Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office, the tragedy was caused by a gas leak .

Prosecutor Franca Cabiddu requested a one-year and four-month prison sentence for Paolo Guglielmi, legal representative of Sarda Reti Gas, Maria Teresa Dettori, director of the Sassari-based company DMT, and technician Gabriele Melino. Absolution was requested for professional Fortunato Gangemi .

The victim's family is being represented by lawyer Antonello Desini.
