The Argentine chef who was massacred in his home by three people last February died in hospital in Olbia.

All three attackers were identified and arrested. Now the Tempio Prosecutor's Office, PM Noemi Mancini, is evaluating whether to change the charge to murder. An autopsy will be performed in the next few hours.

Miguel Angel Paez, 69, a long-time resident of the Gallura city, had been beaten to death in a house he was occupying without title . Neighbors raised the alarm and rescuers found him lying on the ground, lifeless, with a smashed head and several broken ribs .
