The fire that has been destroying hundreds of hectares of land in Noragugume since yesterday has started again in a devastating manner .

The situation, when everything seemed to be returning under control with the reclamation of the last outbreaks, rapidly worsened in the afternoon due to sudden outbreaks of the fire.

Six aircraft have intervened to fight the flames , which have already affected a very large area in the last 24 hours and are being pushed by the increasing intensity of the wind: three helicopters of the Forestry Corps departed from the operational bases of Bosa, Sorgono and Farcana, the Super Puma coming from Fenosu and two Canadairs .

The flames also reached the industrial area of Ottana , affecting a private photovoltaic plant. Extinguishing operations are being hampered not only by strong winds but also by the fact that the flames have spread to multiple locations.

The mayor had already been talking about a "lunar" landscape this morning, and the situation seems destined to worsen. Twenty-two to twenty-three farms have already been severely affected by the fire , which has burned away a year's worth of fodder. Several animals have died, and at least a thousand hectares of pastureland has gone up in smoke.

This afternoon , another large fire broke out in the countryside of Olzai, in the "Badu de Carru" area . The Forestry Corps initially responded with a helicopter from its San Cosimo base. But the situation quickly worsened, and three additional vehicles arrived: a helicopter from Fenosu, a Super Puma from Alà dei Sardi, and a Canadair.
