Closing ceremony for the seventh edition of the Ninetta Bartoli award, conferred by the Cagliari section of Fidapa (Italian Federation of Women, Arts, Professions and Business) affiliated to BPW (Business Professional Women) International.

During the ceremony at Palazzo Regio in Cagliari, the awards dedicated to the late mayor of Borutta elected in 1946 went to Maria Paola Secci , mayor of Sestu, the first woman to hold the role of president of the council of local autonomies; Viviana Lantini , councilor for social policies of the Municipality of Cagliari, for her constant commitment, both in her work and in her political role, against people's discomfort; Adriana Cammi , manager of the thirteenth Mobile Department of the Sardinian State Police, is the first woman in Italy assigned to this prestigious position; Desirè Manca , regional councilor, for her particular sensitivity towards the less fortunate; Viviana Galimberti , world-renowned oncologist, luminary in the fight against breast cancer.

"I am sure that Sardinia can be proud of these 5 women who give so much prestige to our land," said the current mayor of Borutta, Silvano Arru.
