A new weather system has arrived in Sardinia after Cyclone Harry. It's decidedly less worrisome, this time from the west, with wind gusts that could reach 70 kilometers per hour and further rainfall , especially in the northwestern part of the island.
The Civil Protection has issued an ordinary criticality warning (yellow code) for hydraulic and hydrogeological risk in the Logudoro area , which lasts until 6 pm today, Saturday 24 January.
The weekend will bring snow to the mountains and the strong winds are already causing some problems.
On the SS 126 "Sud Occidentale Sarda" state road, the 40,000 and 41,000 km sections in Iglesias are closed in both directions due to rocks in the roadway. Gusts of wind in Carbonia also uprooted a tree on Via Costituente , which fell on a private property open to the public, causing damage to parked vehicles and private property.
