The 50 million from the Region for the new stadium in Cagliari are missing due to the fault of Christian Solinas's council: this is the accusation of the municipal councilor for Sport, Giuseppe Macciotta. The former president's reply arrived shortly after: «Falsehood to hide the inertia of mayor Zedda and governor Todde: I did everything necessary, the money has been allocated».

In this story of accusation and counter-accusations, comes the further stance of the representative of the Zedda Council. In short, Macciotta maintains that yes, there was a program agreement signed between the Municipality and the Region. And yes , there was the publication of the provisions on the Buras. What was missing, however, was the decree of the then President of the Region, which would have unblocked the allocation.

Here is Macciotta's communication.

«I deliberately refrain from commenting on the personal political ramblings of the Hon. Solinas and I stick once again to the evidence of the facts. No one has ever dared to question the signing of the program agreement regarding the new stadium in Cagliari by the President of the Sardinia Region at the time and by the then Mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu; nor has anyone ever intended to disavow the publication of the program agreement in BURAS no. 70 of 21 December 2023. What I intended to affirm in my speech, and which Solinas' own statements confirm, concerns the failure by the President of the Region at the time to issue the decree approving the program agreement contemplated by art. 7, paragraphs 1 and 2, of the aforementioned agreement. This article states verbatim” Pursuant to art. 34 of Legislative Decree no. 267/2000 this Program Agreement, signed by the legal representatives of the interested parties, will be approved by Decree of the President of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia. The publication of this approval Decree in the Official Bulletin of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and on the institutional website of the Municipality of Cagliari is arranged”.

Well, it appears evident that such a comprehensive fulfillment has never been implemented by President Solinas, with the consequence that it has not yet been possible to proceed with the transfer of the funds foreseen from time to time in the program agreement. An essential fulfillment for the definition of the bureaucratic process which, as mentioned, the current President of the Region will soon and substitutively face once the necessary and appropriate checks have been completed. This and only this is the indisputable reality of the facts; everything else pertains to a tiresome political quarrel of no interest to the citizens".
