The construction of the new Cagliari stadium is getting longer . The club expected a quicker timeframe, but today's conference of services , led by the Environmental Impact Assessment service of the Region, has brought forth new requests for further information .

The company and the Municipality want to hurry, as can be seen from the joint press release: "During the meeting, all the points relating to the more than one thousand technical documents of the project were analyzed. The conference ended with the decision that the Region will send the minutes of the meeting to the Municipality, containing the list of observations. The Administration itself and Cagliari Calcio, as proponents, hope that the transmission of the minutes will arrive as soon as possible ."

At stake, let us remember, is the construction of the new 25,000-seat facility (with an increaseable capacity) to replace the old Sant'Elia.

The meeting was attended by Cagliari (from Domus), the Municipality, the designers of Sportium who were entrusted with the task of designing the stadium, the Verification Office of the Metropolitan City, the Cagliari department of Arpa and Arpas, the complex structures and environment office of the ASL of Cagliari.

The conference lasted three hours and the various bodies presented several requests for further information to arrive at the Paur, the Regional Single Authorization Provision that replaces the old Via.

The minutes of the meeting with the individual opinions on which the designers will work are expected by mid-October. Only after that will the second session of the Conference of Services be called, from which the final green light should come, at least that is what the company hopes .
