An innovative information system dedicated to the management of minors welcomed into communities, supported by a memorandum of understanding signed by the Sardinia Region and numerous local authorities, which represents a turning point in the protection of young people placed in communities.

Presented today in Cagliari, it aims to optimize the management and monitoring of reception paths, supporting the foster authorities, such as social services, local health authorities and the juvenile justice system.

The experiment , which started in 2021 with the Juvenile Court of Cagliari, will now involve the whole of Sardinia , thanks to the support of the Sassari Prosecutor's Office and local administrations.

The system will allow for centralized management of information, offering a digital tool that facilitates the work of all actors involved. From the registration of the minor to the drafting of his/her foster care project, up to the placement in the community, each phase will be tracked and visible in real time by competent bodies and authorities.

The regional councilor for health and social policies, Armando Bartolazzi , underlined how this platform represents a decisive step towards faster and more effective management , with the aim of guaranteeing a path of social reintegration for minors.

"A concrete and synergic response to a challenge as delicate as it is crucial," declared the Councilor for General Affairs Mariaelena Motzo, reiterating the Regional Council's commitment to a shared and structured approach.

The system not only facilitates monitoring, but also allows the Ombudsman for Children and the guardian to consult the necessary information, thus ensuring greater transparency and an improvement in the conditions of the most fragile young people.
