As many as 19 new routes to Alghero, 16 to Olbia and 32 to Cagliari, with an allocation of 10 million euros for 2025 and the same amount for the following year. These are the numbers approved by the Transport Commission of the Regional Council, which expressed a favorable opinion on the experimental project regarding aid for the enhancement of air traffic in Sardinia, including internal routes to connect Cagliari with Alghero and Olbia.

The Transport Councilor Barbara Manca, accompanied by the general director of the department, Pierandrea Deiana, illustrated the provision, born in the previous legislature (it is contained in the regional law 9 of October 23, 2023) on which the department has worked in recent months to make it truly feasible. A technical work that consisted above all in the identification of the range of new routes.

"The measure consists in the granting of direct aid to airlines up to a maximum of 50% of eligible airport costs in relation to a route, for a maximum period of three years and including expenses incurred both at the departure and arrival airports", explained the member of the Todde Council to the commission chaired by Roberto Li Gioi (5 stars), specifying that "the measure is in any case in addition to social aid, intended for Sardinian passengers who are entitled to it". The list of incentivized routes was drawn up "excluding those that have already demonstrated their ability to be supported under a free market regime". The councilor specified that "the final objective of the measure is to absolutely increase routes to and from Sardinia, also interconnecting Sardinian airports with each other".
