Interventions to improve the efficiency of the water network in Sarroch and Muravera.

Egas has given the go-ahead and two Abbanoa projects.

Muravera is a real maxi intervention, financed by Egas with more than 1.4 million euros which will make it possible to build 2,550 meters of new pipelines in the town which, being highly tourist-oriented, is put to the test in the summer street of old materials used and its particular geographical conformation, with an altimeter that varies from 0 to 150 meters above sea level.

The new pipelines will be made of nodular cast iron and the intervention will affect Via Delle Ginestre, Via Dei Tulipani, Via degli Asfodeli, Via Delle Mimose, Via Cristoforo Colombo, Via Risacca, Via Caboto, Via Monte Nai, Via A. Doria Alta, Via Corallo (or via Sa Murta), Via Della Murena and Via Ichnusa .

Also allocated 360 thousand euros for the adaptation of the Sarroch purification plant : the project involves the structural restoration of the clarifier, the replacement of the sludge scraper blades and the weirs, the modernization of the plant and its general maintenance, the adaptation of carpentry and sludge treatment, the replacement of electromechanical equipment. The works will be completed in three months.

They are "concrete responses to the real needs of all the areas of Sardinia, with these interventions the two countries will be able to enjoy a more efficient service", underlines the president of Egas Fabio Albieri .
