Motorboat capsizes, four rescued at Cala Fighera

The motorboat capsized and began to sink. Fear for four boaters, who were rescued this afternoon between Cala Fighera and Marina Piccola.
The divers and the naval section of the fire brigade from the port detachment arrived to save them.
Upon arrival, specialist teams found the approximately five-meter boat capsized, a short distance from the rocks. Two of the occupants were already aboard another vessel, while the other two were on the reef.
Once the shipwrecked people were safe, the divers worked to prevent the vessel from sinking with the probable risks of marine pollution. Using buoyancy balloons, they took steps to restore the motorboat to its normal navigational trim, which was towed to port.
