The Chenàbura Sardos Pro Israele association has also condemned the attack on the mosque on Via del Collegio alla Marina, in Cagliari: unknown individuals set fire to the door of the Islamic place of worship during the night between Wednesday and Thursday, and the Anti-Terrorism Unit is now investigating the incident.

"The arson of a mosque is a cowardly, unacceptable act, and contrary to every principle of civil coexistence. We firmly condemn this crime," the Cagliari-based pro-Zionist association wrote.

No place of worship must ever become the target of violence. We clearly reiterate a non-negotiable principle: we condemn all forms of violence, without exception and without ideological mitigation. Whether directed against a mosque, a synagogue, a church, a cultural center, or any other place, violence is always an attack on peaceful coexistence and the rule of law.

Freedom of worship, Sardos Pro Israel continues, "is an essential pillar of our democracy and a right guaranteed by the Italian Constitution. It allows everyone to profess their faith and practice it, provided they fully respect the laws of the Republic. Those who commit acts of violence against places of worship offend not only the immediate victims, but society as a whole. There is no justification or contextualization for racist or political violence: it must be universally condemned."
